I am a freelance production artist doing directing and writing works in film and commercial/corporate productions. I produce, shoot, and write scripts and copies for corporate videos, TV commercials, and audio-visual presentations. Sample video copies available upon request. I am a fellow of the Pusan International Film Festival's Asian Film Academy 2009 and the Korean Film Council'sAsian Film Professionals Training Program 2008 in Busan and Seoul, Korea. I shot the 16mm film "Technophilia" during my stay in Seoul.
As an independent filmmaker, my first film “Karsel” (35mm) received the Kodak Film Award and Best Film Thesis 2003 at the University of the Philippines Film Institute. It was also nominated for the Gawad Urian Best Short Film Award 2003. I produced my second and third films “Aninag” (35mm) and “Pera-perahang Lata” (HD) through film grants from the National Commission and for Culture and the Arts. "Technophilia" and “Pera-perahang Lata” are the first Filipino independent films successfully projected in HD format in the Philippines.
My films have been in exhibition/competition in various local and international film festivals including New York International Independent Film and Video Festival, New York Filipino Film Festival, Louis Vuitton Hawaii International Film Festival, Chicago Filipino-American Film Festival, among others.
